July and August are the warmest months when temperatures often reach the mid-90s. Winter temperatures sometimes fall below 40 degrees. However, even in January and February, the temperature seldom falls below 50 degrees. Average winter temperature is 59 degrees.
Lady Lake enjoys abundant rainfall during the so-called "rainy season." Average annual rainfall is about 47.6 inches and more than half that rain falls during the period from June through September. Most of summer rainfall comes from local showers that occur in mid-afternoon. The remainder of the year is relatively dry. From October to May, the area is indeed the "Sunshine State."
Humidity is high during the summer months but falls considerably during the fall and winter season. Although Florida is known for its hurricanes, the inland area of Central Florida has seldom been affected by such storms. Lady Lake weather is one of the prime reasons for its attractiveness to visitors and newcomers alike.
